One of the most popular herbs for hair health is Rosemary. Rosemary contains antioxidants that help prevent hair damage and stimulate hair growth. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe an itchy scalp. To use Rosemary for your hair, steep a handful of fresh Rosemary in boiling water for about 30 minutes overnight, strain the liquid, and rinse your hair with it after shampooing.

Another herb that is great for hair health is Amla, also known as Indian Gooseberry. Amla is rich in vitamin C, which helps strengthen hair follicles and prevent hair breakage. It also contains essential fatty acids that help nourish and moisturize the scalp, promoting healthy hair growth according to this study. To use Amla, mix a tablespoon of Amla powder with water to make a paste, apply the paste to your hair and scalp, leave it on for about 30 minutes, and then rinse with cool water.

Bhringraj (Eclipta alba) is another herb that has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine to promote hair growth. Animal studies show it contains compounds that help improve blood circulation to the scalp, providing the necessary nutrients to support healthy hair growth. Bhringraj is also rich in antioxidants that help prevent hair damage and premature graying.
